Ella sleeping soundly

she's never not by my side

I feel a sneeze coming on

She hates it when i sneeze

I sneeze

She bolts up and stares at me

And i think she wonders if i'm dying

I assure her that i'm not dying

and that she can go back to sleep

Then i realize i'm talking to a dog

...at 6am.
